I’ve been flirting with an idea for a little bit, and I’m going to put it into practice. There will be no complaining on LC.
What brought this on was yesterday’s comment about the stimulus checks. To be clear, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with disagreeing with the checks from an economic standpoint. Both Bush stimuli and the later Obama one did little to support the economy. Debts got paid off, but there wasn’t much of a bump in employment or wage gains. I personally don’t think they’re a wise choice.
But I’m not mad about it. People are.
I was put off by that attitude, and I don’t know how much of it I’m doing too. It’s invisible to me when I’m doing it. So I’m going to draw a line in the sand, no complaining, for a month and see if I can make the habit stick. I’m not saying forever because those goals are often unreachable. But if I can do a month, April, I’ll see about pushing out another month.
