Travel Shopping

“We know that travelers will always look for the lowest price, and that’s what they ultimately buy,” [Lorraine Sileo, senior analyst at Phocuswright] says.

From WSJ.

This always drives me crazy because I can’t buy guaranteed ontime departure and arrival, I can’t buy guaranteed seat width and pitch, I can’t buy anything else. I can’t even guarantee I’ll be on my flight because United may beat me up and kick me off. The only, ONLY ACTUAL GUARANTEE that can be bought with a plane ticket is price.

The travel industry makes self-fulfilling prophecies and weeps about it.
