I keep reading the opening scene of Romeo and Juliet.

That is the best introduction to a setting, conflict, and plot. It is shockingly good. Every read through, the intro gets better.

Sampson and Gregory are immersed in themselves, their world, and their struggles in a manner that is almost incredible, and yet it’s perfectly obvious.
